Dad and I arrived at the hospital and found mom sitting up in a chair. The physical therapists had been in working with her, and they sat her in a chair so she can practice holding her head up, and work on strengthening the rest of her body. She was bouncing her right leg a little so we touched her legs and found that they were cold. At this point the physical therapist came back in to see how she was doing and they said she had been sitting up for 2.5hrs already. So they came in to put her back in bed.

The nurse told us mom tested positive for MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphlocccos Aureus) it's a bacteria responsible for several difficult to treat infections...also known as as multi drug resistant staph infection!!! ARGHH!!! They treat it with antibiotics and she is on multiple antibiotics now. They say it's pretty common, but that doesn't mean we're happy about it! (We now have to gown up, masks and all - so answering our phone takes longer - you may have to leave messages and we'll have to you call back.)

We are still working with insurance and hospital to try and get mom home. They didn't even consider moving her to Utah until dad said well what if we pay for it ourselves. They said oh well let's see what we can do. Finally we got them to think about moving her. Now the doctors at the hospital have to convince the insurance company to determine if they will let her come to Utah! They will have one more discussion on Wednesday - we don't know how the discussions are going. (All the doctors at the hospital that we've talked to say she can travel back to Utah.)

Please pray for a miracle! Please pray to get her home, that her infection will clear up quickly, and that she can continue to progress so she can recover fully! We'd like to get our sweet wife, mother, and grandma back!!!
