Yesterday's Update:
Mom had physical therapy again first thing in the morning. When we arrived we were told that she did so well she will start having physical therapy twice a day. We are so proud of her she is doing so great, and working so hard by the time the physical therapist leaves she is so worn out she has a good sleep.
The nurse also told us they asked mom how many children she has. They first asked about girls and she held up five fingers. Then they asked her about boys and she held up one finger. They were so impressed with her ability to answer the question, and to answer correctly.
Mom continues to squeeze hands, and now she is reaching for peoples hands when they enter the room We are so proud of her and her progress.
Mom is doing AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteYesterday, Mom's Intracranial pressure (ICP) drain was removed. The ICP had finally stablized following surgery back on Saturday April 9, 2011. The Doctor had told us days three through five following surgery, was a delicate time, because of the swelling on the brain from surgery. The Doctors and nurses watch very closely to keep the ICP within normal ranges. So, having that drain removed is tremedous progress!!! Yay!! :)
We all know you are a fighter!!! Keep it UP!!! We LOVE YOU MOM!!!
